Ask a bounded yes-or-no question
The noul question type evaluates caller-supplied true and false criteria against state. It can return yes or no with evidence, or an unresolved or refused result. It is not a general prompt-injection detector, secret scanner, authorization system, or security boundary.
Example
{
"state": {"request": "The request was approved"},
"questions": {
"approved": {
"type": "noul",
"instructions": {"question": "Was the request approved?"},
"criteria": {
"true": "The request was approved; approved",
"false": "The request was rejected; rejected"
}
}
}
}
The captured response contains outcome: "decided", noul: "yes", may_act: true, and evidence locating “The request was approved” in the supplied state. See the Noul reference for the full response shape.
Use this result only for the declared question. Keep authentication, authorization, secret handling, and security controls in your application; do not grant access or execute a sensitive operation solely because this answer is yes.
