Decision outcomes and action gates
The API reports whether a request produced one answer, several supported answers, or no supported answer. Use those explicit outcomes to decide what your application should do next.
| Outcome | Meaning | Caller guidance |
|---|
decided | One answer was selected under the request and configured decision path. | Inspect the selected answer and evidence, then apply your own authorization before acting. |
unresolved | More than one answer remains supported. | Review the listed supported answers or request more information. |
refused | No declared answer was supported. | Inspect unfound and decide whether to ask for more input or stop. |
For the /v1/systemone wire, may_act is true only when the outcome is decided. This is a machine-readable result, not a safety certification or an authorization decision. Keep permission checks and action execution in your application.
if answer["outcome"] == "decided" and answer.get("may_act") is True:
authorize_in_application(answer)
execute_in_application(answer)
elif answer["outcome"] == "unresolved":
send_for_review(answer.get("supported", []))
else:
request_more_information(answer.get("unfound", []))
Do not use confidence or probabilities, when present, as a calibrated likelihood or as a replacement for the outcome and evidence fields.
